Connection Lab

Measure server-route speed, HTTP latency and jitter, and inspect your request

Connects only to this tool server after you click. Uploads random synthetic data, never files or form content.

Small fixed-route test: 2 MiB download and 1 MiB upload per run.

This entry uses unencrypted HTTP. Only synthetic test data is transferred. Do not send passwords or private information.

Understanding the results

Each test uses about 3 MiB plus protocol overhead. Stop aborts the requests. Concurrency, request-rate and total-traffic limits apply.

Speed is a short HTTP transfer from your browser to this server, including server, proxy and network limits, not your broadband plan peak. Latency is the median of five round trips; jitter is the average absolute difference between adjacent samples.

Returns IP, server time and four non-sensitive headers only. Cookies, Authorization, Referer and query content are not echoed. The backend HTTP version may describe the proxy-to-service connection.
