Counting and cleanup rules

Characters are visible Unicode grapheme clusters: combined letters and joined emoji each count as one.

Words are estimated using the current language’s segmentation rules and may differ from other editors.

Empty text has 0 lines; a final line break adds an empty line. Bytes use the original text’s UTF-8 encoding.

Deduplication is case-sensitive and keeps the first occurrence. Sorting uses the current language and natural number order. Line cleanup normalizes line breaks to LF.

Undo the last 20 tool actions. Manual editing starts a new history. Clearing and loading an example can also be undone.

The limit is 200,000 UTF-16 code units (some emoji use several). Text stays only in this page’s memory.
